Winter front

On some of the Cessna aircraft it is recommended to install a "winter front" in order to warm the engine in weather <20 degrees F. Is such a device recommended for the PA18, and if so, what do you use?

If you have a front mounted oil cooler Piper made an aluminum winter cover to fit. Duct tape also works. Cub engines run too cool in the winter in MN without some way to warm the oil. I think I remember my old cub temps would be around 130 on a cold day in SD without a cover. Even at 30+ degrees a cover will keep your engine temps up.

Mine came from F.Atlee Dodge, Wasn't expensive as I recall. Works Great! Took It Off in Texas last spring, put it back on in Ohio last month.
