Strut material [Archive]

I'm building an experimental cub from Wag-Aero plans and want to know if anyone has used the mild steel 1020 or 1025 streamline tubing for struts. The stuff is about half the price of 4130. Thanks. Jeff

You should check with Wag Aero and use what they tell you to. This is a very critical part and one that you may want to purchase finished...your life HANGS on it.

If you get to the point that you want to purchase struts, I have a set that I removed from my SC. You can PM if interested.
