Has anyone else been catching the documentary series "chasing the sun" on PBS? I saw it tonight, while not about supercubbing or real back country flying it does deal with the development of flight. Tonight's examined the jet age from its invention in England in 1941 (and the Me 262) through the Concorde. Its amazing the strides we have made in 100 years. Hopefully some nonpilots saw the show as well and felt some of the awe and glory of flight. If you haven't caught the show yet, at least based on my experience today I'd suggest it as a fun aviation based way to waste your brain (spoken as one without cable and the discovery wings channel.)
