Control surface deflection (degrees)

B

barkerlongez

Hi folks --
It is probably in one of my manuals somewhere, but does someone have off the top of their head the maximum deflection (range of motion) in degrees of all the control surfaces for a PA-12. I am putting mine back together and want to make sure I get them all correct.

If possible I need it for rudder, elevators, and ailerons.

And of course this would all be while measured in level flight.
thanks
Mark

PA-12 Control Surface Movements

Elevator 27° Up 32° Down
Rudder 20° Left 20° Right
Aileron 31° Up 25° Down
Stabilizer 1°15' Up 5°30' Down

Been wandering around here for months, enjoying the threads and posts. Finally decided to jump in. I started A&P school earlier in the year and realized "Hey... I can answer that one!"

Got my license in 88, but almost all my time is in 152's & 172's. Aerobatic training in a Decathlon hooked me on taildraggers. Nice airplane, the Bellanca, but I want MORE!

The old camouflage PA 18-135 (Retired from the Italian Air Force) at the A&P school has cast a spell on me.

Thank God my wife is so understanding!

Thanks for the great site, Steve.
