[Fish]Warm weather means more fish here.

GONE WEST
Fairbanks, Alaska
It has been very warm in the interior of Alaska this week. It has lengthened our float season. I flew out to a small lake 75 miles west of Fairbanks on Wednesday and caught this 5lb laketrout on a dry fly (large black ant).

Here is the cub on the lake.

Went out this morning 75 miles east of Fairbanks and caught 22 rainbow trout like this 20 inch fish.

It was not the biggest fish I caught today. I did keep 3 to eat because they are hatchery fish anyway.

Torch

Torch,

Good to see that I am not the only one enjoying the unseasonably warm temps. However, we do need some more snow than last winter so I can get out more with my new backcountry skis. Looks like the weather is ending though.
