It has been very warm in the interior of Alaska this week. It has lengthened our float season. I flew out to a small lake 75 miles west of Fairbanks on Wednesday and caught this 5lb laketrout on a dry fly (large black ant). http://www.home.gci.net/~ddwest/trilk1.jpg Here is the cub on the lake. http://www.home.gci.net/~ddwest/trilk2.jpg
Went out this morning 75 miles east of Fairbanks and caught 22 rainbow trout like this 20 inch fish. http://www.home.gci.net/~ddwest/big22.jpg It was not the biggest fish I caught today. I did keep 3 to eat because they are hatchery fish anyway.
