Has anyone installed the B&C lightweight starter and the alternator on their c-90? Can you tell me how about them? Also I will be installing on my project a McCauley CM7146 prop. Can you give me ballpark performance figures. Thanks.

I've installed the B&C starter. Works great, faster and lighter. You have to cut off the guide pin sticking out of the back of the case. Do this with the accesory case removed and plastic covering everything. Sky-Tec has a light weight starter for the little Continentals now. I haven't tried one but it is less expensive. I want to install the little alternator. It takes a field approval. I've flown the Sencinich but not the McCauley. I have a McCauley for my project.
