1 piece or 2 piece venturi's

Anybody have any comparisons on these two. Might be my imagination, but my engines don't seem to start in as cold of weather with the 1 piece venturis. I saved all the parts and am thinking of putting the 2 piece back in. I was lucky enough to buy a bunch of those little tabs as a close out just before the AD came out.
